Celebrate Earth Day 2018 by Recycling Used Clothing

According to the EPA 13.1 Million tons of textiles are trashed in the U.S. each year. Donating textile items to be re-used keeps them out of the landfills!

In honor of Earth Day, the Girl Scouts of Citrus Council is hosing a Clothing & Textile Drive on Friday,
April 20, 2018. Every pound collected earns money for their GIFTs for Girls campaign, a special fund for Scouterships. Give your clothes and textiles a second life and help the Girl Scouts of Citrus Council!

The following items are being accepted:

Clothing Towels
Shoes Sheets
Boots Comforters
Purses Blankets
Belts  Curtains
Hats  Tablecloths
Coats  Plush Toys
Backpacks

*All items must be kept dry, please put them in a tightly tied plastic bag.

Contact Lydia Sealey at LSealey@citrus-gs.org to participate. Bring your clothing and textile items to work on Friday, April 20th and the Girl Scouts of Citrus will come pick-up your donations.
