Building a Better Banking Experience One Piece at a Time
We have exciting news! In an effort to bring you a better banking experience, Insight Credit Union is changing our core processing system the weekend of November 15, 2019! Our core processing system, also known as a core system, is the software responsible for our major banking functions, such as opening and managing accounts, processing deposits and withdrawals, and posting transactions, just to name a few.
We began the core conversion process in May 2017, when we started looking into cores that would enhance your member experience while also helping us achieve our long-term goals and strategies. Our new core system will give you more flexibility when it comes to managing your accounts; and allow us to operate more efficiently, improve our products and services and bring more value to your Insight membership.
We are committed to ensuring this conversion is as seamless as possible for you. While most of the changes will happen behind the scenes, there will be some things that impact you. Throughout the process, we will keep you up-to-date on what you can expect, so that you are prepared.
Due to the core system conversion, you will receive two Statements for the month of November.
- The first Statement will reflect account activity from Nov. 1 to Nov. 15.
- The second Statement will have a new easy-to-read layout and reflect account activity from Nov. 16 to Nov. 30.
Rest assured, you will receive all the interest owed to you in the month of November. It may however, be reflected in two credits, one on each Statement for the month of November, or in one full credit on the second Statement you receive.
Members with an Incentive Checking account will receive the higher interest rate on balances up to $20,000 for the entire month of November, even if the criteria is not met. Interest will be paid once and be reflected on the second Statement you receive.
In the coming weeks you will be receiving additional information about the core system conversion, including what accounts and services will be impacted. Please be sure to keep an eye out for it in your mailbox, email inbox and here on our website.
